Luther on Doctor’s diets:

“…to live medically is to live wretchedly.  I eat what I like and will die when God wills it.  We all belong in the ground; there’s no way around it.”  (Table Talk #3801)

What a kick!  Even in Luther’s day there was the “doctor’s order” complaint.  Nowadays though the amount of information makes me sick or is that wretched.  The media goes from one fad to another, carbs bad, carbs good, fat bad but not all bad, don’t eat eggs, eat ’em, this will help, no it won’t…it seems to me that Paul’s advice may be the best, “everything in moderation and in thankfulness to God.”
