The African Tulip tree the skirts the back playground area and is often the flowering backdrop for the May Day activities was trimmed on Memorial day.  In addition to trimming up the branches, an invasive vine that may have eventually killed the tree was removed.

Sadly, the lychee tree near the Preschool 4’s classroom had to be removed.  Under unusual circumstances the lychee tree suddenly wilted and died.  Drill marks were found around the base of the trunk of the tree.  Some have said that someone may have been trying to get the tree to bear more fruit others have said that it was a prank of some vandals while others say that the tree was poisoned.  The lychee’s beauty and shade will be sorely missed.
