Students visit the only royal palace in the U.S.

Students in the third through fifth grades were treated to a tour of the Iolani Palace today.  They were able to see the main floor and gallery floor.  The main floor included the blue room, dining room, serving room and throne room.  The throne room was a favorite of many as our docet described the wonderful parties that would have been celebrated there.  My favorite was the artifacts in the gallery, especially the rarely seen yellow feather cape of Kamehameha which had over 450,000 feathers woven into it.

We ate our lunches by the gazebo on the lawn and Christian even suggested getting a picture with the employee at the gift room for the Traveling Trinity T-shirt contest – smart thinking (Tshirt picture).
