Stars, Starbursts and Cyrus

About 30 people came out to Trinity’s tent site at Schofield Barracks to enjoy the Fourth of July celebration of our nation’s independence.  The day included rides, games, boothes, crafts, displays, and drawings.  At five o’clock Billy Ray Cyrus gave a concert on the main stage.  Afterwards the stage had presentations- a speech from Linda Lingle, a rendition of the 1812 overture with actual cannons for instruments, and a remembrance of our 50 states with a cannon shot for each state.  The evening ended with what I consider to be the best fireworks show I’ve ever seen.  The neat part about the show was that they were fired from right behind our tent site.  Thanks to all who made this day possible.
